TRAINING
Ian brings his years of trauma and addictions and mental health experience and extensive education to the classroom through the various training courses and workshops he offers. Over the past decade, he has brought these training courses and workshops to numerous universities, hospitals and community organizations across Ontario.
CLINICAL SUPERVISION
Ian is an experienced Clinical Supervisor, working with over 80 clinicians over his career. He believes that clinical supervision plays a significant role in the clinicians' preparation to provide quality, compassionate care. It is his firm belief that ethical practitioners understand the importance of their clinical self-development, and are always working to improve.
ORGANIZATIONAL CONSULTING
As a organizational consultant, Ian brings many year of experience working with systems in medium to larger organizations.
Ian’s specialty is to develop and integrate into practice high-quality standards of care that are inclusive of trauma-informed practices standards and “Required Organizational Practices (ROPs)” for Organizational Accreditation.
ABOUT IAN
For 30 years, Ian has worked with families, couples, and individuals, helping them discover solutions to their difficulties in a safe environment. Filling many roles throughout his career, Ian has never lost sight of his life’s purpose: helping people.

Ian has a sizeable clinical background where he specializes in adult and children’s mental health, trauma, addictions and concurrent disorders. He has been a clinical supervisor and organizational trainer for groups ranging from small community-based agencies to large-scale hospital-based systems. He has an Advanced Clinical Supervision designation from Smith College, School of Social Work, MA, US.
